In addition to providing core chartered accountancy and financing services, David and Michael are also key personnel of commercial property syndicators Quarry Capital Limited, a licenced manager of managed investment schemes (excluding managed funds). Quarry presently manage six syndicates that together own over $180m of commercial property assets throughout the South Island and lower North Island on behalf of over 220 investors.

David has a background in the banking industry having held positions with BNZ, Marac and Canterbury Finance, and has also had many years working in the retirement village industry before spending 12 years as a Principal and head of Capital & Finance and Syndications of a medium sized Christchurch chartered accountancy and advisory firm.
David's role at 2K includes assisting clients with obtaining finance through bank and non-bank sources for property developments, asset and business acquisitions, and working capital.
David also heads Quarry Capital Limited), a licensed manager of managed investment schemes (excluding managed funds) under the provisions of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. Quarry presently manage five commercial property syndicates with assets under management of over $140m.
With their children no longer at home, David and his wife Fairlie have more time to enjoy some adventure such as mountain and road biking, snow skiing, water skiing and jet boating. When travel restrictions are eased they hope to continue with their overseas travel experiences.
Michael comes from a Chartered Accountancy background having worked in the profession for over 35 years.
Specialising in providing accounting and taxation advice to clients in retail, hospitality, transport and professional services, Michael has also developed skills in business valuations and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, financing, family trusts and risk management.
Michael is also the Chief Financial Officer of Quarry Capital Limited, a licensed manager of commercial property syndicates. His role within the property syndication team includes leading the accounting functions of the syndicates, analysis of new opportunities, financial due diligence and preparation of the Information Memorandums for new schemes.
After an active sporting life in his younger years, Michael now enjoys watching sport of all codes.
Jean provides end of year accounting services along with income tax return, GST return and payroll preparation for our clients. In addition, she manages the accounting functions of the property syndicates and management companies including tenant and supplier communications.
Jean is also the principal administrator at 2K managing client invoicing, supporting the Quarry syndication team as well as ensuring the firm complies with recently enacted AML/CFT legislation as it applies to our clients.
Originally from the lowlands of Scotland, Jean moved to Christchurch with her husband and young family in 2003. Now that their adult children have both left home, Jean has plenty of time to enjoy socialising with family and friends, as well as Scottish country dancing and walking.
Janette joined us in July 2022 and provides clients with accounting services including end of year accounts preparation, GST return processing and company administration.
Janette has experience with small to medium businesses having run her own book-keeping business and is also available to assist with daily accounting queries including Xero processing and payroll.
Outside of work, Janette is a mum to two adult sons and dotes over her two grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, movies and shows and pottering around in her garden.
